On a long road to a healthy body.

Ever since giving birth to my two year old, Jasper, my body has decided to go on a hiatus. I have been told I could possibly have everything from Lupus (which I was later told I didn't have) to IBS (Irritable Bowl Syndrome), to Arthritis. I've had my gallbladder removed, colonoscopy, enough blood work done to equate a blood transfusion. I am currently on so many prescriptions that, once I'm done taking them, I'm practically full.

With all these doctors and specialists shrugging their heads and not knowing what is going on, I have been doing a bit of research on a more natural level. Being a Christian, I truly believe that when God created this beautiful earth,  He also created natural cures. It is proven in many studies that the body is created to heal it's self when given the correct nutrition in order to do so. Two great documentaries that I recommend anyone to watch are:

You can click the names to link to their websites. Both of these promote purely plant based diets, which I'm not 100% sold out on as I love meats, primarily venison and sea food. However, the information in both are absolutely invaluable. They are not full of opinion and nonsense, they have real doctors, actual proof, and have a level of education that is through but not over your head.

With this information as a basis I now have a new understanding of food :Eat to live not live to eat!

Proper nutrition has everything we need to heal! I have really gotten into juicing, making sure all fruits and veggies that I use are non-GMO and organic. In fact 80% of what we eat are non-GMO and organic down to our eggs and meats. The last thing you want to do is give yourself a high dosage of pesticides, antibiotics and juice without their full nutritional value.

Currently, I am juicing for my husband and I along with solid foods. In three weeks however, I am going to be going on a juice fast similar to the one shown in Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. This is something I try to do at least once a year for at least two weeks. Another website I am adding this year to my juicing arsenal is:
Here you are able to select aliments you have and it will show you juice recipes that will help, elevate, or even cure your aliments.

Then I also have my supplements that I take everyday at lunch. This is my current list but I would love to afford to add a few more:
  • A Daily Multivitamins and Minerals
  • Triple Omega 3-6-9
  • Probiotic Acidophilus (Due to my IBS)
  • 5000 IU of D3 (this is a high dose as I was shown D deficient in blood tests)
  • 100mg of CoQ10 (Due to migraines)
  • Calcium Citrate
  • 400 IU of E
  • CinSulin (a water extract of Cinnamon which I take due to a slow thyroid)
  • Super B-Complex
  • Restrovol (a red wine extract)
  • 1 TBS of Olive Leaf Complex (Barlean's Organic Oils is the best as they have been able to mellow out the bitterness and still keep all the good stuff)
I also drink 3 glasses of plain water, 4 large glasses of Green Tea sweetened with LOCAL honey and pure raw Stevia leaf. The benefits of organic local honey are almost never ending. Here is a great illustration of some of honey's benefits from Natural News. When adding local honey to anything be careful not to heat the honey above 130 degrees F. or it will kill it's natural live enzymes.

Now keep in mind I am no doctor and I am a noobie at true nutrition and all of it's benefits. If you are on medications or have health issues make sure your doctor has a list of your supplements so they won't interfere or have adverse effects.

Also, make sure that your supplements are natural, NOT synthetic! I have found that Costco has the best prices on the supplements that I currently take.

Hope this helps.
God bless,
Jacque Heaton
