Apple Chicken Gluten Free Pasta

This is another great dish that is really easy to make only takes one pot (if you already have your meat cooked)
Ingredients:
  • 2 boxes of Barilla Gluten Free Penne Pasta
  • 1 jar of Old World Style
  • 2 Jars of Chunky, Tomato, Garlic and Onion
  • (you can change it up if your stomach is able to tolerate more)
  • 1 Large Can of  Lindsay Olives Whole
  • 1 Small Can of Lindsay Olives Chopped
  • 1 Large Bag of Frozen Broccoli
  • 4 Brest Worth of Shredded Apple Chicken
  • (Click Here to see how to make the Super Easy Apple Chicken)

Directions:
  1. Boil the pasta to the directions on the box.
  2. Drain the pasta and let it sit in the strainer for just a bit.
  3. Pore the sauce into the pot and let it start to simmer.
  4. Add in the frozen broccoli and olives and bring it back up to a simmer.
  5. Add in the chicken and again bring it up to a simmer.
  6. Put the pasta back in and mix it all together.

I like to make a lot of this at once because my family loves it, they end up piling a mountain of Parmesan Cheese and mix it all in. I can't do the cheese, so I eat it as is and I love it!
Then of course there are the left overs!! I bag them up in quart size freezer bags, about the size of a burrito, so they are perfectly sized portions.
Always wait to freeze tomato sauce until it is completely cooled off. As you don't want to shock the tomatoes giving it a weird flavor. And there you go I fed my family of 4 and now have 8 more meals in the freezer!
When un-freezing, I like to put the bag in hot water to thaw them out so they can fit in my bowls.
